Nonagon is an audiovisual art and experimental music festival, in the former oil tanks of Svanö island, Ådalen.

Solar plexus

A mobile sculpture is the properties between weight, balance and space. In this mobile the two artist have worked together to find a common ground, where chans and balance is the key process. There is no symbolic och literal interpretation for this work, at least not in the same way you solve a picture riddle. The mobiles intention and the questions it may ask is more open and more in line with the process and playfulness of the making. It has been like a intuitiv and collaborate chess game –If the first artist hangs two bricks attached to an acrylic plastic board on one side of the leveler the second artist must find something to counter balance the weight. Maybe ad a glass object or move a piece further out on the other side. The balance is restored.

Acrylic is a product created from oil. Plastic, is a consumable that can never be completely decomposed by nature. An involuntarily, endless construction that acts both painterly and sculpturally in the mobile.
